Doors open at 6:30 pm followed by 3 1- hour classes, cheap bar and home cooked food in a superb venue with separate bar and probably the best sprung dance floor in the UK.
Classes are:
- 7:00 pm -7:40 pm - Rueda 3 levels Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced.
- 7:50 pm - 8:35 pm - Styling for men and women - having fun with salsa styling and movements.
- 8:45 pm - 9:45 pm - Turn-pattern partnerwork L1 through L5 including absolute beginner to advanced.
About the lessons & instructors:
- La Rueda.
3 levels. Basil (RHR) will be teaching La Rueda for Advanced/Intermediate salsa dancers.
Tony & Lyn (RHR) Improver/Intermediate.
Rosa (RHR) & Ben (SM) will be teaching La Rueda for Beginner salsa dancers.
La Rueda is the most fun you can have in a circle. Plus it's salsa dancing with a challenge a bit different from the usual partnerwork.
- Shines & Bodywork.
Ben & Maria (Salsa Machine) will be teaching a shines format class with the accent on dancing, rather than footwork.
Shines are nothing without attitude and style. So bodywork will be the focus here.
- Partner work.

This event is promoted by SalsaPassion run by Klaus. He has trained and taught Salsa since 1996 while living in London, San Francisco and Buenos Aires. Since 2001 he has been a UKA (United Kingdom Alliance of Professional Teachers of Dancing, Club Dance Division) certified teacher of dance.
Klaus’ dance style, technique and teaching methods have been influenced by various British and US champions, such as Leon Rose, Susan Montero, Joseph Koniak, Edie Lewis (the "salsa freak") and Super Mario.
This is a drop in class. No booking is necessary. There is free practicing afterwards.

Salsology, Manchester's Premier Club Night run by Emma Moore will have their next event on Saturday 30th December 2006, their End of Year party. The theme on the night will be 'Back to the 1980s'.
There will be loads going on including special guest teacher Marchant Birch (London), caricaturist John Roberts and a fancy dress competition with 2 Brit Salsafest passes as prizes. Fancy dress is strictly optional but anything uncool is acceptable and even encouraged e.g Dallas, Bananarama, Flashdance or Top Gun!
DJs on the night will be Gary Thomas, Emma, Chris Mee and Barry G and there will be dancing until 3:00 am!

Plus there will be Club dancing from 10:15 pm til 3:00 am.
There is a chance to get Free Entry to Salsology’s End of Year Party! Send your 1980s photos and, if they go up on their web site, you'll get free entry on 30 December 2006.
You can buy tickets (£10) here or on-the-door, on-the-night. Tickets can be bought online up until 12 midnight on Fri 29th Dec.

Ok Folks. That's it for this year. I hope you enjoyed the articles and up-to-date news that we brought this year and endeavour to be even better next year.
Next year I am planning to produce a regular newsletter perhaps once a month. The exact format is still to be finalised. I aim to write this Salsa News Blog less regularly, perhaps 3 - 4 times a week, say Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
It will continue in it's normal format until I produce the Newsletter.
More about that later.
