1. First Salsa Congress in Orlando.
The first Orlando Salsa Congress will take place at The Rosen Plaza Hotel, Orlando from 7th - 9th July 2006. It has been organised by Born to Salsa and Salsa Heat Dance Studios of Orlando, Florida and there will be a Pre-Congress party on Thursday 6th July at the Rosen Plaza Ballroom.
2. The instructors and performers.
As usual there will be top instructors and performers who will be giving classes and shows. These are the named artists so far:

3. Schedule - Workshop, Shows and Parties.
On Friday and Saturday the workshops will be from 10:00 am - 4:45 pm. There will be classes in Salsa "On 1" and Tricks and Dips LA Style, Salsa "On 2" and Shines NY Style, Cha-Cha, Argentinean Tango, Swing and even Belly dancing. There will also be poolside parties starting at 10:00 am.
The dance showcases will be in the early evening and later there will be dancing in the Ballroom to live music such as Chamaco Rivera and La Sonora de Orlando and with the best Salsa DJs such as Joey G, Gabriel Latino and Victor.
On Sunday there will be an All Star Celebrity Basketball game (Spicy Basketball) for the purpose of gathering funds for the "Needy Angels of The World Foundation". There will also be a Dance Competition and an After Party at Club Glo.
4. Location.
Rosen Plaza Ballroom, 9700 International Drive, Orlando Florida, 32819. It is conveniently situated close to Orlando Airport (15 minutes), Universal Orlando (5 minutes), Downtown Orlando (15 minutes), Walt Disney (10 minutes) and Pointe Orlando, an entertainment and shopping complex (across the street).
It has the usual amenities as befits a top hotel such as heated pool and whirlpool spa, Fitness Centre, Business Centre etc. Please note however this hotel is now fully booked but you can check the Quality Inn Hotel Quality Inn which is behind the Rosen Plaza.
5. Admission.
Register now for the Full Weekend package as this will go up from $185.00 to $210.00 on 1st July 1, 2006).
