Enjoy the Salsa Clubs in Norway and discover that experience that you always dream about, savouring that sultry exotic Latin atmosphere.1. - iL Mare Latin Jazz Bar
i. - Who runs the Club?
On Saturdays Tromsų Salsa Association are the hosts for a Salsa night
in this restaurant/bar. The event is organised by Erik Roland and Consuelo Jeroimo who are experienced dancers and performers themselves. So this is a Salsa spot by and for Salsa dancers.
They try to play about 80 % Salsa with a bit of Merengue, Bachata and Chachacha thrown in and provide the DJ's themselves. Special theme parties and Salsa performances are also occasionally arranged.
ii. - Erik and Consuelo's Philosophy.
The club was opened in September 2005 and has become very popular. Entrance to the club is free as so is the water.
The dancers in Tromsų understand the importance of supporting the bar. Erik and Consuela's philosophy is that "Salsa is not just about taking classes. It's about what comes after! You can't have a drink and ask a stranger to dance in a class!"
Since their success in arranging Salsa Thursdays at a previous nightspot called 'Swingeriet', they have decided to expand their activities. Tromsų Salsa now hosts Salsa nights at this newest spot in town, and that's even on Saturday night! They call the concept "Latin Jazz Bar", and they are using their experience from many of the most popular Salsa clubs in New York and London.
