This is the best way to learn, in a non-pressurised environment (although it may be a bit nerve racking as a beginner). You are there for 3 hours or more and just dance with whoever you are comfortable with.

The DJ will play the latest Salsa tunes all night and depending on what sort of club you are in will play a few Merengue, Bacahta, Reggaeton etc. tunes for a bit of variety. However on special occasions, or in some clubs every night, the dancing is interrupted to present a show.

A Salsa Dance Group will soon take to the dance floor or stage and you will soon be enthralled by their movements, choreographed partnerwork, footwork, and professionalism. You look at all their movements and secretly wish you could do half the moves that they are doing. You would die for it.
