1. What? Salsa Dance Holiday in London and the UK?

Don't laugh. I can hear you saying Salsa in London and the UK? OK. I admit Salsa did not actually originate in London or the UK but boy does it have a vibrant scene.

I have been Salsa dancing for over 10 years and when I started I had jumped over to Salsa from another dance that I did, Lindy Hop (I've started up again) and thought it was very popular then but Salsa and the Latin dances are exploding here.

2. The Salsa Scene in London and the UK.

When I started back in 1995, Cuban Salsa "On 1" proliferated, but over the last 3 - 4 years New York Style Mambo "On 2" has also become very popular.

Other Latin dances e.g. Merengue, Bachata, Reggaeton tend also to be played sparingly in Salsa Clubs although there may be clubs that cater especially for these other types of dance.
