1. Introduction.

Salsa Dancing Shoes or normal shoes?

Which do I wear?

You've taken some Salsa lessons.

You've learnt enough Salsa moves to get by. Now you want to hit the clubs.

Now that burning question.

Many Salsa Dancers dance in normal street shoes, especially men.

This can be a topic of disagreement.

2. Should I wear Dancing Shoes?

Many dancers say you must wear professional Dancing Shoes. However some say as long as you are comfortable with what you are wearing and the shoes are supportive and has the proper sole it does not matter.

It is really a matter of personal preference.

I myself have danced in both street shoes and Dancing shoes (although I dance in the latter now).

I dance well in street shoes but find the latter are lighter and easier to move around in.

3. What Dancing shoes should I get?

The suitability of a Salsa Dancing Shoes is different for different individuals. It depends on certain factors: The sole of the shoe, the materials the shoe is made of and the constructionof the shoe. It even depends on the floor you are dancing on. Many professional Dancers obtain different shoes
for different types of floors.

Here I will attempt to educate you so that you can make an informed decision as to which Salsa Shoes are right for you.

So let's go!
