Taking a Salsa Lesson in Norway is the start of your Salsa experience.

1. Oslo - SalsaSite.com

These classes are run by Reyza, Karina and Mehdi.

i. Reyza, the owner of Salsa Site Studios and organiser of the Norwegian Salsa Congress has been dancing Salsa and Merengue since 1993 and New York Mambo "On 2" since 1995.

He has studied Mambo/Salsa with Eddie Torres and travels regularly to New York to keep up to date with Salsa Teaching techniques.



ii. Karina, originally from Brazil
has danced from the age of 5 and has been dancing Salsa since the age of 16 (1992). She teaches and performs New York Mambo "On 2" Eddie Torres Style, LA "On 1", Cuban Style and La Rueda but she also dances and teaches Samba, Forro, Swing, Zouk and Lambada. She has even danced Tango, Biodanza and Jazz-Ballet.

Mehdi specialises in Mambo"On 2" Eddie Torres Style and has studied Salsa with Santo Rico and Fuerza Latina.

The team at Salsa Site teach Salsa LA Style "On 1" , NY Mambo "On 2" and Cuban Style. Karina also teaches Ladies Styling and Samba.

2. - Bergen

i. RAUL

Raul is a professional dancer from Cuba who teaches cuban salsa, in Lisbeth studio, Neumansgt. 23. Beginners class: Tuesdays 19:00-20:00. It is not necessary to have a partner.

ii. Zeca

Zeca teaches afro-salsa at BIKS (Bergen International Culture Senter) every Thursday. Beginners: 19:15- 20:15. Advanced: 20:30- 21:30.

iii. Eduardo

Eduardo teaches Merengue and Salsa at home: Bredalsmarken 12, 5006 Bergen. The minimum number of people is 4 and you have to be in couples.

iv. SALSA DEL MUNDO

They teach courses in Salsa and Merengue for beginners and advanced at Kulturhuset USF, Georgernes Verft 3. The courses start in February and in September/October. They teach both 10-hour courses, which last 5 weeks, and weekend courses.

Norwegian cruiseship company Fjordline has hired Salsa del Mundo to give salsa lessons and shows onboard. Advanced level starts Wednesday 14 March, 20-22.for five weeks and is for both couples and singles.

3. - Tromso

Erik Roland and Consuelo Jeroimo

Lessons are given in Tromso by Erik Roland and Consuelo Jeroimo with their company Tromso Salsa. Both Erik and Consuelo have dance backgrounds and a wealth of Dance experience.

They have both studied Mambo/Salsa with Eddie Torres, Frankie Matrinez, Piel Canela Dance Company and many others in New York. They are also trained by many of the profiles in Los Angeles and London to master all styles. They also have ballroom training. They are listed as instructors on SalsaNewYork.com, and will be the first Norwegians performing (as Salsa Frio Dancers) at the LA Salsa Congress 2006.

Classes are mainly taught "On 2" Eddie Torres Style at beginner levels, and include "On 1" styles at intermediate levels. They also teach Casino Rueda classes. Consuelo teaches separate ladies styling classes, and Erik teaches men's technique classes. At times there are special workshops and on a regular basis and Tromsų Salsa also invites guest instructors to Tromso to teach different styles.
